CA-99 Accidents & Collisions
Most of Highway 99 is built to freeway standards, but portions of it still remain an undivided two-lane highway. Certain areas of Highway 99, near San Jose and Santa Rosa have been designated as “blood alley” due to associations with head-on collisions and fatal accidents. Over the years the California Department of Transportation has implemented many safety improvements, but stretches of Hwy 99 still are notoriously dangerous.
Determining the Causes of Highway 99 Accidents
We work with experienced investigators in all highway accident claims. To establish liability, our highway accident attorneys consult with transportation experts to determine how the accident occurred, preserve evidence and reconstruct the accident scene. We also take the reports of eyewitnesses and, if available, review videotape from highway cameras. Accidents may be caused by countless causes, including speeding, driver distraction, texting while driving, driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, fatigue, weather, poor road maintenance or defective automobile parts.
